Alpha/Early Access Sale?

Just wondering if Frontier was considering a sale on the early access/alpha any time in the next few months. At £50 it's quite expensive; I don't want to pay full price when there could be a sale at some point soon. If anyone knows anything about this possibility please reply!

I feel the same way, I played the first alpha a little at my friends house, and I have not felt compelled to buy into the alpha yet. I'm happy waiting patiently with the $30 offer on the full game

They've stated they won't announce plans for this in advance (for obvious reasons) and I can't see a reduction in price until at least Alpha 3 personally. Possibly even later than that...

A sale would be good, but than it would be bad for those who already bought the game. I also have the same opinion that the price is a little bit high, but I was such a big coaster game that I couldn't wait to get my hands on the game and buy the deluxe editon of the game xDDD :D

If anything, a sale for the paid alpha would have made sense sooner rather than now.

Should early backers have to pay more than those that held onto their money for longer? As an early backer myself, I do not personally think so.

Isn't the pre order price of £19.99 going to rise closer to the release date, so you can get it fairly cheap. I can understand the £49.99 asking price is high and I was hesistant to upgrade my pre-order and I have no regrets whatsoever.

I have come to the conclusion I would rather now support the games and developers I know and trust and buy other games alot cheaper and Frontier happen to be one of them. Its still works out cheaper than Star Wars : Battlefront and the Season Pass I foolishly bought or RCTW (No Refund, as I bought third party)

I think you would need to consider the early adopters about this. If you start now with a sale, or promotion, users can be quite upset about it. This happened with the XBox's and Playstations, people dropped serious money on the consoles, then months later, they did a cheaper price where it ticked everyone off. Just save up your pennies and when you're ready to buy, either early alpha or official release, you'll know when to make that decision :)

Simple ecconomics, things are more expensive at launch when there is demand, then as they need to get more interest in it, the price drops.

I think the extra 20 pounds is totally worth it watching this game develop and grow, It is a fantastic game and seeing the input to make the end game is worth 1 million times more than 20 pounds.
