Alpha - Gunsight System

I have Alpha access. Can someone explain what the Gunsight system is all about. I can't see any visual differences between "Trail From Centre" and "Traditional". In fact, having targetted an object, I don't see any visual markers on the hud indicating its relative direction. All I see once something is targetted is it being highlighted by <> on the Gravidar and info about its hull etc.

Is there supposed to be some other indicators? I guess I have grown used to arrows around cockpit indicating direction to target.

You will see a difference when using the projectile weapons.

Lasers don't need lead indicators so they stay identical in both settings.

Laser tend to be dead on weapon. Point and shoot. Now Guns are slower you have to adjust to hit the target. That where the gun sight target comes in handy.
