Already have 50million credits

And that my friends is why we need to test and why we need wipes. Good work commander!

Has anyone tested the mining the same asteroid exploit from previous beta yet?

Can go better than that:

:D

Sadly this didn't tally up with my wallet! It only appeared on the Galaxy map! :(

Wipe or not, you must be new to online games... in every freaking online game (and more in MMO's, if this is indeed an 'mmo') there has been exploits, dupes and people not banned for them with games after launch. Expect more of that happening AFTER gamma, and expect no wipes because of that, and people not getting banned for that.

This game is not competitive anyway idk why people cares so much about that.

.... because an unlimited bankroll would allow a player of a certain disposition to cause as much unpleasantness as they could for other players for an indefinite period of time (unless banned) - think Anaconda with every hardpoint loaded with missiles as one simple example.

Everyone online game always has exploits/bugs. This will never change, but we can't mass wipe every time a new one is found.

We cannot expect total wipes in the full release every time someone finds a bug/exploit. Frotnier should be able to selectively wipe those who used the exploits/bugs.

Considering there will be a wipe, you should let us all know how you did it! ;)

No he should not! Frontier can selectively wipe unless everyone does it.

However, generally speaking the community of a game that has such exploits will react very badly if there is not a wipe before release. Yes, they will grudgingly accept rollbacks or selective wipes post go-live but they will always have the feeling of how did people leverage their exploits etc, ie is the currency now trashed because too much was 'invented', did people funnel some off to another commander before being discovered, how on the ball are the devs in gamma to pick up those exploiters and reset etc. etc.

So a wipe is assured now, to restore the confidence of the community before go live. I can live with that.

All those reasons why you speak of can be done after release. Are you suggesting we wipe the game constantly after release?

No. Please read what I said.

If a game falls victim to serious exploits such as this post release, then the confidence in the community tends to evaporate fast. Look at ESO and the duping and botting, they were losing people hand over fist when that appeared after release.

Mass wiping does not promote confidence in Frontier's ability to stop and reverse exploits, something every online game requires. There are reasons why a mass wipe would be needed, but it's usually a last resort.

Bad example:
1) There will always be new people coming to the game at a disadvantage of someone who is immensely wealthy and pimped.
2) 150000 populated worlds, hi!
3) even solo mode if you caannot jump to other system (!?)

as for dealing with people who has found exploits or whatever pre-release, surely they have the tools to check the db (the same reason i don't believe a partial wipe is not possible, it's either just lazyness or some odd argument like the ones you hear usually around here), just remove those items/credits from their balance.

anyway, they will do whatever they have to do... imo we will see a 'final wipe' close to release once gamma x.xx has been released. i'm fine with that as we are still playing a real beta/unfinished game.
