Alright, got me a Rift and its actually awsome AND comfortable.. have few questions

So first to clear a thing out and that is the Rift is really superior to the Vive. Incredible clearity from the go.

I had a Rift last year but sold it and now got a second. Much cheaper now so no Money really lost. And purchased a Vive Days Before Eastern which Went back to store.

And I managed to fit it correctly and its a Dream to wear.

Anyway, I have a few questions.

Got it setup with 0.85 in HMD quality and 2.0 pixel density in debug tool and running 90 fps+ everywhere. All Ultra settings in graphic quality! Really looks super nice.

1. I have some judder or jitter in the hud lines when in turret mode SRV. Like the are not straight when turning turret.
2. Is 1.75 in HMD quality same as 2.0 Pixel density and 0.85 in HMD quality if using debig tool?
3. Also I have Audio in occulus home screen but no audio in Elite?
Thanks.

I'm getting the same thing, except it's in all HUD elements, turret mode or not, if they pass over another object, including the ground. It seems to be caused by ASW, so turn that off in the debug tool and you should be fine.

I think so - doing it both ways, I don't see a difference, so I just use the in-game settings and leave the debug tool at default.

Check what Windows has as the default audio device - you might have to manually switch it to the Rift for anything you don't launch through the Oculus software. Quick way of doing it (on Win 10, at least) is to click on the little audio icon on the right of the Task Bar, then click the device name above the volume control that pops up.

Thanks aa lot. However disabling ASW makes the game not run supersmooth but with minor jerkiness all the time.

ok you don't need to use the debug tool anymore! Elite has ingame support since a while now!

You are doing things wrong kinda upside down :)

Super sampling set to 1.0
HMD quality set to 2.0

that way you get double the pixel desnity and crank the options up as high as you can! I have everything in ultra that I care for in this setup!

If you haven't already, try Dr. Kaii's awesome tool, it makes it easy to play around/experiment with different configurations for VR. It really is a "must have" for VR users...
