Honestly I find it interesting that you are able to fast and reach ketosis with a one full meal per day.
It's maybe the heavy exertion? And low carb feeds.
How does this turn out with a meal per day? I assume the hunger never stops?
It's not bad, after the first week. Don't have much experience with this.
However, this is only noticeable after several days of fasting; with just 4 days passed, you won't find any reduction in your power. (And I really don't know, how your full meal will influence your experience. Maybe your power will never drop like mine does while "totally" fasting.)
Thanks for the insights. I may progress to a full fast, once initially adapted. My light weight lifts are better than before, and no plans to lift heavier now. ( unlikely to make gains while catabolic)
One recommendation: Keep an eye on your electrolytes, especially when training during fasting!
In the past, I didn't always do this and experienced weird heart issues in my second week (lying in the bed at night, the heart pounding quick, really uneasy feelings.)
After salting my veggie soupes way more than before, my fasting weeks went easy as cake-eating (if this makes sense in a
fasting context ...)
But again, I guess this isn't an issue in your case, as you eat anyway and your electrolyte levels should be covered.
Yes, that figures. Maybe oral rehydration salts solution would be a good addition for me too.
