I think you have to accept the change before it updates the mission.

I have never accepted the new delivery location missions and have had no problems.

If you look on the 'transactions' tab immediately after accepting the change the affected mission should have an 'updated' flag on it.

That said, I don't think I've ever accepted a destination change.

Thanks I did not accept because I could not tell which mission it was; and the one I doing was 82k ls to the station and I was almost there.
Slight strange that there was no (obvious) way to tell which mission the message referred to.
