Hard to make a guess. There was a theme going in Forbidden Valley until Air popped up. Question; what do you mean behind Nemesis? Isn't there a car park there? I need to look at a map.

Yeah the overflow car park extends behind that land.
Still, if that is the site of SW8 then SQUEEEE!! [squeeeeee]

With Air getting some sort of improvement next season it could be re-themed to SW8, so Forbidden Valley would have one strong theme, unlike it is currently with Nemmy and N:ST and then Air with its own little theme of an oasis. The tree clearance is more in between DF and FV (more towards FV) so there is a chance it could be a cross-valley coaster. Hopefully a woody full of airtime!

The tree clearance was for a fungus on the trees that needed to be under control, Air's retheme next season is the reason for markings and such around that area. I'm with you by the way, I would love a new coaster sooner rather than later, but with recent events, I think it might be a delayed ride.

I'd be surprised if they managed to get planning permission this soon after the Smiler incident. I know it was a one off issue and they handled it extremely well, they've never had a great relationship with the closest locals and they're definitely going to be giving AT trouble if a new ride is being planned.

I believe most of that is sorted now, The Smiler being built in X-Sector was a sign they are aloud to be more noisy now.

I live very close to Alton Towers and people seem to enjoy it being there, The ropers are the people who attacked the resort in courts due to noise. I trust they do not live there anymore.

I agree with you how the resort handled it. I worked there last season and was there and involved in matters, I honestly feel very proud to be part of that team that day.
