Am I boned?

So I head out on a Passenger/Exploration mission to "Glorious Nebula" aka HEN 2-23...

Fighting the route planner the whole way, I've managed to get within 420ly, but I can't get any closer without using FSD Injection and I'm not even sure that would be enough...is there some kind of "back door" into this place, or am I just doomed?

My range is around 48ly, and I have some Injections (4 Grade 2, 6 Grade 3) available, but I don't want to "paint myself into a corner"...I'll need at least one to get out of where I am now, @ WREGEIA OY-Y D1-0.

I guess I could head back to the bubble and reroll my FSD and stock up on Injection mats, but if there is a path to get there, I'd really appreciate the info.

Thanks,
CMDR RasputinX

Not close enough to where I'm at, I *might* be able to Inject my way over to some white dwarves, but I don't know if those would give me access to the Neutron Stars above them...

Can Injections and other bonuses be stacked? I think I tried before, with no appreciable result, but maybe I did it in the wrong order?

Or I can back out from the one Injection I've used and go around trying to find an easier path.

EDIT:Whadda ya know, one of the two landable planets has both Arsenic AND Vanadium...I can get 3 more level 3s and...6 more level 2s...

FURTHER EDIT:So I land, after forever, because this place's surface looks like Edward James Olmos' complexion, and...Xbox Needs an Update...Stupid Insider Program...

I don't think stacking works, unfortunately. If you can build up a stock of L3 injections, a 96-LY jump range must be sufficient to get there (otherwise it wouldn't be a tourist beacon). There's probably a way in - if you work around the problem, and experiment jumping closer, the way will probably become apparent in due course.

Yeah, I tried working backwards from the place, but didn't see what I needed, I think the key is the vertical, and thats hard on this dumb map.

I just didn't want to use up more Injections getting closer, then having to back out, using more of them.

Unfortunately, that's a risk you're going to have to take if you're going beyond the edge.
To me, it sounds like you should have enough materials to get there and back. More always helps, though. Just use some careful planning, and try to estimate distances between stars before you head in. If they have coordinates uploaded to EDSM already, that should be much easier.
Good luck!

I have found with FSD injection jumping most systems with landables will contain enough materials for level 1&2, polonium is harder to source, ive often jumped into far out systems without the means to get back and collected materials as I go.
Believe it or not material storage isn't big enough to collect enough FSD injections for some places!

once injected you cant back out of it, although you can look on the gal map and click fsd boost to see exactly how far you can get, but for those further stars just use the grid and you can eyeball how far they will be from the next star etc (depending on your zoom level, one square equals 10ly etc..) and build a route in your head - this is how I do it.

^^ if you plan like this you should never get stuck down some dead end, or at least I haven't yet**

Had similar problem with Passenger/Exploration mission, as did not bother to switch to Asp explorer and did mission with standard Python geared for trading and passengers.
Seem WE might have a problem if they are handing out missions that can not be done without Engineer upgrades or FSD Injection.

I accept my fault with python and only 20ly (Which has Engineer upgraded FSD LV4).
But maybe some warning on mission/passenger request to remind commander high jump range required?

Yeah, this would be "extremely challenging" read "perhaps unpossibruh" outside of a short list of ships with engineered FSDs.

I guess I could have rerolled my FSD some more, but I thought approaching 50ly would be sufficient unto the day. I was wrong.

Niobium is my current bottleneck. I think I can get in, but with a bit more of that, I'd be confident I could get back out.
