I approach a planetoid (16 C Ursae Majoris 2 A- A moon) and I end up hitting the DRP zone at ~137km from the surface. No matter what I try, I will always drop out at ~137km. I've followed every tutorial I can find, but nothing seems to work. I also appear to be hitting "body exclusion zones" every few seconds. What am I doing wrong? Am I doing something wrong?

It sounds like you're not running the Horizons version of the game. After the release, I see three games in my launcher- Elite Dangerous (32 bit), Elite Dangerous (64 bit), and Elite Dangerous Horizons (64 bit). Select the Horizons one, install it if it's not already, and go for it. It's actually quite easy to miss this.
I see Elite: Dangerous (32 bit), Elite: Dangerous (64 bit), and Single player combat training. I know I purchased Horizons, I received the "black friday" paint job pack and have the order receipt in the Frontier store. Do I have to download it somewhere?
Update: I downloaded and installed Horizon's from Frontier's website, and it still isn't showing up on the launcher.
Black. Even though I went through the set up for what I assume is horizons, since I hit the "download" button next to it on FD's website under "My downloadable products," The icon isn't showing up on my desktop.
