So, yesterday evening was my first evening spent entirely and exclusively on PowerPlay. After looking up the powers, and based on my preference for the Federation and my location at the time, I decided to pledge my allegiance to Hudson. He also seemed in turmoil which was a plus for me as I always try to take the difficult challenges.
So, check the power contacts where I was, nothing, of course. So, take the (long) journey to Nanomam. 120+ Ly from where I was. In a Federal Dropship. Yeah, I know, not the best for that kind of trip but when I initially tried the beta, the closest hi-tech from me only had that ship. I did upgrade its FSD and the power plant, though, so I can make 12 Ly jumps.
Anyhow, I get to Hahn Gateway. Go check what's available. Quator is under our control but is undermined, from what I can tell. OK, take documents to bring them there. 120 Ly trip. Got there after a few jumps (something like 8 or 9).
Then what? Nothing in the power contacts there. I have to go back to Nanomam to get a new mission? Do again this long trip? Then, do another 120+ Ly trip? Yes, I know, I could replace my ship and get a faster one but even with one that would do 20 Ly jumps, we're still talking about 6 jumps minimum and probably 7.
So, am I missing something?
