Am I missing something?

So, alliance players are up in arms over apparent info that the feds and alliance are working together, despite player activity making it so the alliance are taking territories off the feds, which is totally contradictory to the lore. Except....

As far as I'm aware, and correct me if I'm wrong please, but isn't halsey, the ex-president kicked out the federation, the one working with mahon? Now, maybe I'm no expert, but if I was kicked out of government by those around me, I'd get revenge. Like say, asking for the alliance to help destabilize the feds to create an opportunity to get back in power.

Now that is good lore backed up by the player base actions. I really hope I'm right and everyone just got confused seeing a Fed name, because otherwise Fdev messed up hard. But again, correct me if I'm wrong.

Thoughts?

1. Lost in deep space.
2. Came back, and started babbling about the architects of the galaxy.
3. Was committed to an asylum for a while?

I presume I can't just ask for a synopsis because a) that's spoilers and b) Fdev would like my money.

But ok, I will admit I may not have all the facts, thanks.
