I took this screenshot 10 minutes after arriving in the solar system... I am on a mission to put some dodgy code in. Am I missing something or is this just how far away it is? Has anyone had worse?

I believe soo Always, always read how far away the station/settlement is before taking a mission; I think we all learned this to get our Hutton Mug rare.

My ship, I assume, is next to the settlement that I was heading to

Just had this on a trip recently to Alpha Centauri (as above). 1876c was my fastest speed and I caught up on some youtube vids I wanted to watch ...

An egregious offering of gameplay of Fdev behalf and hardly passes muster except for boredom threshold. At least you can watch the scenery go by in driving sims and the like. I wonder how many of the team have 'enjoyed' these lovely long trips.

Always double check your mission distances, or better, plan your life around those trips!

I usually undertake those trips when I need to work out, shower, cook, clean, etc.

Works like a charm.

There aren't that many stations and secondary stars at these sorts of distances, they are easy enough to avoid once you start checking missions distances when you take missions.
