Am I the only CMDR "working" the MegaShips?

There is a cap ship dock in Jeterait, that runs away too.

The Vanguard and Acropolis work like any other station. They don't run away. They have landing pads on the outside (like an outpost) but also include a large pad. They also have mission boards and some pretty interesting outfitting (as they fight Thargoids) - but no ShipYard. Both weeks I've been "working" these ships they have always been found just above asteroid rings around large gas giants. They sit there for the entire week. (At least that's been my experience so far)

It should be noted that I have not accepted any Thargoid missions (as I'm not equipped for them) and that I've also never seen any Thargoids in my daily missions... Not sure if those missions are even in the local system or a neighboring one...

Nope, so it looks like any that move are without shipyards. Trying to find a logical reason for putting that restriction in the game.

Probably to discourage anyone from doing what I am doing (with my secondary account).

You can't really live on one of these constantly relocating stations unless you are willing to limit ready access to a single ship. You can't transfer more aboard, and you can't build any additional, without a shipyard.

I'm kinda embracing the "one ship" restriction this imposes. After being bored doing so many other things on my main account, this is a little refreshing. At the moment, anyway...

So... The Acropolis didn't move this week :-( (It appears, from EDDB, that the Vanguard didn't move either)

I was waiting for the on screen notification for "all pilots and ships to be aboard..." yesterday but it never came. I thought that was odd. In my limited experience, it was usually posted the day before a move. Based on the posted flight plans, the ships (Vanguard, Acropolis) always move at the same time (0700z on Thursdays).

So I went back to look through the posted "Flight Ops Plan" (under GalNet) and noted that this ship did indeed move ALMOST every Thursday at 0700. (You can find a long history of where the ship has been, and when it moved, in the Flight Ops Plan). Every once in a while it skips a week and stays put. I guess this is one of those weeks...

While the whole point of making the Acropolis the home of my second account was the diversity provided by weekly station movement, I guess I'll take the consolation that I don't have to rep up from scratch with a whole new bunch of system factions!
