Am i the only one conscious of this?

Actually, I disagree. Gradual growth is the way to approach a game in perpetual development.

A massive influx of new players who don't really understand what they're getting into might not be best for the long term future of the game.

I've seen adverts plastered over alot of websites recently, which may be down to analytics, which kind of defeats the purpose of adverts.

I'm pretty sure I saw a TV spot for it once aswell.

Aren't FD going multi-platform with ED? They could be holding back the ads for then, PC gamers are generally more informed than console gamers, so they know where to go for gaming news etc.

I have seen adds is various web pages and the TV spot. I know I saw a banner for it at a SciFi con (perfect target audience), if I had one I would take a poster or banner to the SciFi pub meet this Wed. in London.

Hey I haven't seen any stone carvings on my local henge advertising Elite, nor have I sat around any camp fires and heard the tribal story teller speak of it. There are very few clay tablets mentioning Elite and even fewer papyrus scrolls.
Our town crier is silent on the matter and the daily newspaper proclaims nothing. There are no posters, billboards or signs in shop windows.

why I ask? Because computer game advertising has transcended the advertisers, it's online, it's spread by review sites, blogs, forums, youtube, the game players themselves.

This is the internet
