Am I the only one hyped about that Guardian Plasma Charger and Gauss Cannon?

I'm not sure the guardian stuff is working properly then. I was dual plasma chargers the other day, versus a Dangerous Cobra III NPC, and it took six full charge shots (12 total) to bring his shields down. I'm not sure my aim is that bad, so I'm wondering if something's up.

jep, something is fishy with the plasma charger, i hit a asp with 4 of them and his shield didn't take damage, on other occasions i hit a conda and it lose like 1 and half shield rings

but it is still a great weapon with awesome effects [big grin] (still wish there were more sizes)

Yes. I did expect to use credits. Because thats they way it work, if fdev had any respect for our time. But they dont. As usual.

Except then newcomers who just got into a Cobra or other new ship with Medium hardpoints wouldn't be able to grind out credits effectively to participate in Guardian/Thargoid content. By having you go out to the Guardian ruins or structures and grind materials for the broker, at least you are participating in the actual CONTENT (repetitive as is), and then make some money from the exploration out there too at least.

Outright credits to unlock and then purchase the weapons would be kind of silly.

No. Its not silly. Its perfectly reasonable: reward time spent playing.

Its only silly because fdev is utterly incapable of balancing their own tightly controlled economy.

one thing about he plasma charger is a bit anoying.
i don't see a reason to fire it low-charge.
ammo restriction + charge mechanic = bad game design.
