CQC Am i the only one...

So all i have to do to become the best player in your opinion:
is to get lucky and kill one opponent at the beginning of the match (without dieing) and then fly around on the edges of the map hiding in the asteroid fields until the end of the match?

That would be fun gameplay. Players always fail to consider the bigger picture.

I've lost plenty of DMs because I do my best to avoid death (rather than just dying, respawning, and killing two targets in the time it takes me to fly around recharging shields). So I know the feeling.

At the same time, though, I think DM is designed correctly for what it is. If you want your deaths to matter more in the outcome, play TDM instead.

Maybe you should watch me stream sometime... At most i die twice due to being ganged up on. Even after ive gone up in matchmaker i can still hit 750 and die 0 times. People are playing CQC like its typical open and doing their spiral kite maneuvers and joust matches only to end up way the hell out of bounds.

Im okay with losing a death match due to being cautious and avoiding blatant death. Im more concerned about getting better and finding better ways of using the map to my advantage since the Condor is far from a tank. I also have not been able to join anything other than DM because the matchmaker hates me.

I think if death gave you minus points, then yeah. it would be much more fun =) but that's just my opinion though.

Whats the point of winning a deathmatch if you died ten times... lol

That's the damn and sad reallity of 99,99% of multiplayer games in the present time.......instant satisfaction about how many players you kan kill before you die in the next minute. CQC doesn't bring any new point of perspective to this.

Been away from E:D about 6 months. Thought I'd log on tonight and try out CQC. Been waiting 30 mins with no matches coming through. That popular, eh?

I think there is something wrong with the matchmaker. A quake style server list would be more to my liking. Also it would be nice to be able to cruise round the maps while waiting for enough players.
