Am I weird for not liking the big ships?

I've tried an Anaconda, didn't like it, flown a Python which was okay, but I always seem to end up back in my Asp or Vulture, Hell I'd probably still be happy in a Sidewinder if it was about 20% bigger and better and even now I take one out for the occasional spin, albeit blinged up a little, anybody else feel the same?

Everyone has different tastes when it comes to ships. I love the FDL, always have always will. Like the Corvette as well. Personal preferences and all that.

No you are not, the Anaconda is different to fly because of the cockpit at the back. If u have access to it, try a Cutter. It is a different experience. The Corvette has the same problem.

Not at all. For me the Cobra and the like feel like Jet Fighters, whereas the Python, Anaconda and the like feel like airliners. I much prefer smaller ships to fly - so much more fun. Plus much cheaper, which means less time grinding and more time doing the stuff I enjoy. I don't see myself ever having a larger ship.

And - curiously enough - this reflects my real-world taste in vehicles where I've always liked Motorcycles and small cars. I'd much prefer a Fiesta ST or Focus RS to any supercar you could offer me. I like small, (relatively!) reasonably-priced modest things.

Looking forward to the Engineers helping me get the durability and hitting power of a big ship in my smaller ones. Got a modified C3 MC on my DBX right now. To quote commander Vimes "That's not a gun - That's a national emergency!!!!" (yeah - once it finds the target and fires it is!)

Not at all. I wish the Condor had a jump drive just to go and do some HAZres runs in it. At least my Corvette will be able to carry them soon. =D

you are as weird as me :)

or, a bit differently... i mainly fly courier and cobra mkIII - and in the moment a DBE with some engineer mods. i like the really huge ships like cutter for trading, or anaconda for exploration - e.g. slow pacing activities. but i#M very much a small ship pilot. fly what you like! a lot of time in 1.5. i spend bounty hunting in an eagle ---

Try FAS, it is so maneuverable for a medium ship.

I also hated my Corvette when had just buy it. It wasn't powerful ship ship but fitted, which is hard to do. It's really a nice ship but big with all the characteristic from large class ship.

As a fan of the Imperial Clipper...even for combat, I get what you mean. Not everyone needs to have the biggest and best or whatever. We all pick the ships that suit our preferences.

EDIT: And I've at one point flown every ship except the Federal buses, Corvette and Cutter (though I took a Cutter out during a beta)

My Python was my favorite until 2.1 hit and I parked it to avoid a large rebuy because of the instakill bug, etc. I wound up with an Imp Eagle with enhanced thrusters as my "cheap to replace " ship. It was supposed to be temporary but I love flying it. It's currently my favorite ship.

Oh, man, the small ships are WAY more fun to fly. I mostly fly a combat ready Python for two reasons: 1) superior fire power, and 2) 176 tons of Cargo, helping me to help myself to $1 to $3 million missions. Being able to make $7 million in 2-2.5 hours is pretty nice. My favorite to fly is the Imperial Courier, and I love the Asp for its view out the floor, its scratched dashboard, and the fact that I can fly 250 lightyears in 20 minutes.

Heck no. I've been flying air combat online for 30 yrs or more, have a supercharged rx8 in the garage that me and the misses drive on 1.5 to 2 mile road courses. So ya, small and manuerverable for me, but at 62 i'll prolly have to give up road racing in 10 yrs or so. HAHA I did buy an annie once. Sold it 10 minutes later.

You like small/meduim ship. I like big ships. Everyone has different tastes :D

(Although every once in a while I take a cobra/viper out just for fun)

Since I started over, I'm back in a DBS and I'm a lot more fond of flying it than I was flying the FDL. I suspect that I'll end up in back in a FDL eventually, but in the meantime, I'll be practicing my boost/FA-off turns. I'm getting a lot better at it and I think once mastered, I'll enjoy flying the FDL a lot more.

Then again... I'm enjoying the DBS so much, I may never go back.
