Am I weird for not liking the big ships?

I've tried an Anaconda, didn't like it, flown a Python which was okay, but I always seem to end up back in my Asp or Vulture, Hell I'd probably still be happy in a Sidewinder if it was about 20% bigger and better and even now I take one out for the occasional spin, albeit blinged up a little, anybody else feel the same?

Well, I agree to some extent, I mainly use Medium sized ships, FDL for combat missions, I would hardly choose Python or Anaconda for that since the insurance cost is much higher and they are slow as hell, smaller ships are better in my opinion even I'm planning to buy an Orca as soon as ship interiors are available, I can imagine flying around in my luxury space yacht and then go back to my FDL for combat and dangerous missions

I'm of the opinion this game is all about the smaller ships, fly what you enjoy and there is no REAL need to have a 700mil Cr War'Vette especially if you are alone...vs 4 eagles(or similar) in a wing.

But I would hazard a guess our opinions will change once multi crew and ship launch fighters come...got to give birth to an ieagle!!! Then we have best of both sides right...

Don't know how much help carried ships will be, unless their AI is better than the usual NPC pirates. Depends on what you can carry, I guess.

My biggest ship is the clipper in my sig and frankly i don't enjoy flying it that much. even my vulture i find a tad too big......the most fun i had was flying viper and eagle but the game has gotten way too dangerous for me to go back to those with my limited combat skill.

No some people love small ships. Fly what you like. I love big ships.

Even back in Frontier Elite 2 times I usually preferred smaller ships, Viper being my favourite

I think that you will find quite a few commanders with similar preferences

Glad to see all these responses, I kind of had the impression that I was the odd one out as most people seem to be continually working towards the next bigger ship as it were, very happy to see I'm not alone
