Now go find a planet that has an atmosphere. Get the right angle with the systems star and your in for a on the ground treat.

And in VR it'll stop you dead.... amazing vistas most I've seen are purely accidental whilst hauling or fighting etc

I don't normally shrink mine. Instead I upload them to a free image website (imgur.com) and link to them in the forum. I use that method for other forum sites as well.

Easiest way to shrink the file is to convert those .PNGs to .JPGs.
That way (if you enable at least some compression, which default settings do usually aplenty) even 4k images fit under the 1MB size limit.
For forum use the quality loss is negligible.
If you absolutely want to viewers to be able to see full quality screenies, then image hosting site & linking is the way.

BY FAR THE EASIEST WAY:

Install ED Discovery, it will manage the pictures for you:

1. it will place them in a selected folder
2. convert them to a proper format and shrink them to a proper size
3. it will rename them with the name of the system and time stamp

As a bonus, ED Discovery can do a LOT more for you... A LOT MORE!

Give it a try, spend some time setting it up. You can thank me for this tip later...
