Ambassadors needed for PAX East in Boston

Hi everyone,

We are looking for ambassadors for PAX East in Boston, MA between March 5th - 8th 2015.

If you want to come and help us demo the game at PAX you must be over 21, free on the dates listed, familiar with the game, US-based (East Coast preferred) and able to travel to Boston. You must also be contactable via email.

To apply, please send an email to community@frontier.co.uk, with your name, age, address, and reason why we should pick you as an Elite: Dangerous ambassador for PAX East.

We will cover transport costs, accommodation and approved expenses. You'll also get a pass to PAX East (sold out) with time to explore the show floor throughout the day.

I am still waiting to see if you are going to do Comicon 2015 in Phoenix. Although it is predominately Comic book related, the same group of people who attend those are also the same crowd that play video games and typically have the budget (and mentality) to purchase and play Elite....

You wouldn't even need to fly anyone out or pay for lodging. There are at least 4 commanders who live nearby. Dinner would be nice though!

Just sent the email. I hope I get a chance to show off the game in conjunction with several peripherals including a HOTAS Cougar Throttle Stick (NXT/Hall sensor mod) and MFD's, Simped Vario Pro rudders, TrackIr 5 w/ Track clip Pro, Voice attack w/the ED voice commands and of course Slopey's ED BPC. I can bring my own box with an i7 4790k, 16GB DDR3 1866, GTX 970, 500GB SSD, 2TB HDD. and 3 x 28" 1920x1200 Monitors and display the game @5760x1200. I can demonstrate Hands On Throttle And Stick. All commands and menus can be navigated either through Voice or Throttle and Stick. No need for a keyboard and mouse once in game. (Didn't see one in the cockpit anyway so.......).

I really do love Elite Dangerous and have backed the game by purchasing at the premium beta level some time ago. I Live less than one hour north of Boston. I have owned and operated a computer sales, service and networking business for over 20 years and have extensive experience and certifications in all facets of hardware, software, and networking. I am also a current member of the DCS World Beta testing team and one of two squadron leaders of the 104th Phoenix virtual fighter bomber squadron.

In case it is not obvious enough.... I would love to attend. ;-)

Local Bostonian Here, pick me pick me!

Hey all, I'm a local Boston resident so it would be a short hop over to the convention center! I'm available for the dates in question, and been a backer since Premium Beta. Playing the game has been a blast so far, I think I could handle player's questions. I'm an engineer by trade so handing PC related issues is something I deal with daily as well.
