Ambiance speakers

Having difficulty with stress management with certain animals, in particular lemurs.
I’ve been told the ambiance speakers are supposed to help the animals and has to be a specific sound.
Do I need to place the speakers near the guests as a way of canceling out their noise or at least on the barriers?
do I need to place the speakers in the habitat for example in a bush or on a tree?
i really wish they would have a limit as to how many people can enter walkthrough habitats.
Also do music speakers help as well?

I've generally placed them near the habitat barriers where the guests congregate and in the animals' shelters. As for deciding which sounds are appropriate for which animals, it isn't always obvious. Some animals, such as Amazonian species, have several that could apply--South American forest, rainforest, jungle, rainforest birds etc. There are a ton of rainforest type sounds, but fewer that seems specifically for grasslands or temperate forests. Maybe crickets work? I've been at a loss with my cheetahs, though "desert at night" might fit the bill, even if they are more savannah animals. I notice they added a couple of aquatic sounds for the seals, which get stressed if you get too many guests looking at them.

Sometimes the sounds seem to work, though they've been hit or miss when my seals get stressed. Lemurs are also rather tough. I assume jungle or rainforest sounds would all work for them, since they are tropical, but if the guests can look down into their enclosures, nothing seems to work to un-stress them, not even if I include signs, ambience speakers, climbing shelters at the back of the enclosure. I think they don't like being able to see the guests at their own eye level. Strangely enough, I've been to a number of zoos with ring tailed lemurs in relatively small cages where you can get pretty close, and they never seemed that shy. They're listed as "neutral" in the game, but in practice they seem every bit as sensitive as, say, red pandas.

Thanks for the Info. Didn't know that specific Sounds are needed. I do almost never use the Ambience Speakers for Enclosures. I wonder for which Animals the Cricket Sounds could help (have them in a Flamingo Enclosure but I'm not sure if they really help). Maybe they work for nocturnal Animals like Aardvarks, Pangolins and maybe also Wolves🤔

Hayo, Ambience Speakers do not affect animal stress at all. They're purely decorative and immersion building, they don't have any gameplay effects. Hope this helps :D 🎶

Thanks a lot for the explanation! I'm glad I haven't filled my habitats with them to reduce stress levels 😂

Ahh, so the ambience speakers are one of those superstitious things. Explains why they are in the guest features instead of the habitat features, but I swear I remember reading somewhere that zoos do sometimes use sounds to create an environment for animals that is more calming for them.

Still doesn't get at the problem of those animals who get repeatedly stressed and try to hide but just stand there and don't actually move to the part of their enclosure that is more sheltered. I get that message sometimes when an animal is sleeping right by the front of the enclosure.

Sorry for reviving this thread.

Since I've never used the speakers, I have no idea what sounds they give off. What sounds/ambience do they give, like, what is it supposed to be? (Am I making sense?)

Various animal/environment sounds. They're best inside a building that guests go in - otherwise they're kinda hard to hear.

Yeah, the rumor that they help calm animals down is a persistent one.
