you make a valid point... afterall i would be under the umbrella of Violence for Destroying countless ships in Elite Dangerous...
i think such news articles can be taken with a grain of salt... the root of why someone would go off there rocker and kill people is rooted in Hatred and lack of Good foundational principles and values
the 10 commandments is a good foundation and the added principle of love thy neighbour as one self is also another commandment

I always get a chuckle out of these kinds of threads, it's really not that hard to extract signal from any source of news. Fact and opinion are two clearly different things and not hard to differentiate. It gets a little harder to differentiate fact from correlation and even harder to draw a conclusion from what a correlation implies in terms of appropriate action.
Lastly be highly suspicious of any fact or news that seems to agree with your world view, they're the most pernicious. Whatever belief you hold, the odds are you're wrong, the trick isn't to try and prove you're right, it's to discover in what ways you're wrong.

your correct about being highly suspicious... what i have seen on these Forums and others is the blatant disregard in discerning what is Fake...
i take no prisoners.. when dealing with perpetual talkers, i acknowledge when people are right who highlight a depth of understanding, or reveals a character trait... its worth acknowledging.
Lies i detest vehemently, Fake news being spread is a Phenomena that has its root in bearing false witness, or gossiping, either way... everyone has a responsibility to speak against the Lie, and reveal the truth/fact.. and put the fire out!!
In reference to discovering ways where i am wrong, im sure people will highlight it... its all part of the process of discussion/Feedback
