This issue seems to have appeared with the colonization update.
In my PVE-farming x4 Pacifier Python, I've got different ammo amounts due to engineering. Prior to a couple weeks ago, I could go into the module list and it would display the ammo counts so that I could see which one was nearly depleted and synthesize for only that weapon.
Now, no ammo counts are displayed until I synthesize once; then as soon as I rearm from a station/carrier, the ammo counts are again removed from the module list.
The workaround I've found is to disable the module, check the firegroup to see if the depleted weapon is disabled and then reenable and synthesize. It's a pain.
