Community Event / Creation An easier way to make Voice Attack profiles: PhraseWalker

Hey, for those of you using Voice Attack, I built an application that permutates phrases. What I mean by that is probably best explained by an example... there's a bazillion different ways to say "turn the lights on". You could say:

Lights.
Light on.
Lights on.
Turn lights on.
Turn the lights on.
Turn the ship lights on.
Turn the light on.
Enable lights.
Enable the light.
Enable the spotlight.
Enable the headlights
... and on and on...

So.... you could either memorize the exact phrase you need to say during the game, or you could type in ever single permutation. And now there's a third option.... let PhraseWalker build all the permutations for you. I'll let the screen shot do the explanation of how it works.

In an upcoming version, Gary (the Voice Attack programmer), said he plans to add the ability to insert "alternatives" into the profile string. Once he does that, this program won't be quite as useful... It'll still be handy because you can see all the permutations immediately and you'll have a large edit box to use instead of a 1-liner, but the main functionality will have been added to Voice Attack directly.

Well, I spent the time coding it, so I might as well give it out. I should warn you, I didn't spend much time cleaning it up... It could be a lot more user friendly and the user interface is pretty ugly.... but it gets the job done. I've been using it for about 3 weeks and it has been extremely helpful.

So anyway.... here's the download link:

I didn't build an installler. Just unzip it to a folder and run it from there. Also, it's 64 bit (x64). If someone needs 32 bit let me know.

I have no idea how this post ended up here.... I specifically clicked on "Dangerous Discussion" and then "New Post", and it then gave me an error that said the thread didn't exist and I looked at my post history and apparently it was placed here. I think the forum moderators have a bug. Oh well.

I was expecting it to show up under "Dangerous Discussion", instead of "Fiction of Elite and Community Creations", which is where I had clicked the new thread button.
