Back during DW2, there was an exploration CG (talk about bad timing) that aimed to set up a research centre studying the new lifeforms at Colonia. The campaign was successful, GalNet wrote that it'll be constructed, and it was promptly forgotten. Then a good while later, there was a GalNet article seemingly out of the blue: Holloway Biology Centre opens. Since then, it really has been present as a landable base on Colonia 7 g. However, the station appears to have nothing unique associated with it, no new menus, contacts or anything.
A few samples sourced locally from the NSPs around Colonia were sold to it, but that didn't seem to trigger anything.
Now, as part of the IGAU Inverness nebula survey expedition, we've gathered a much larger number of samples from multiple lifeforms from multiple regions. I thought it would make for a nice experiment, to sell a variety of research samples from farther afield, and a large number of them, to see if perhaps there is a BGS effect. I don't expect there will be any (the base is likely at best a placeholder for future content), but hey, there's only one way to find out. So today, at 13:05 server time, I've sold the following:
As a fun little aside, all of the samples were marked as being sold at a loss, although that was because they were gathered through the carrier's commodity market.
We should see tomorrow if the sample sale had any BGS effect.
In any case, the carrier departs for its DSSA deployment tomorrow evening.
