An Idea about hyperspace

What is your opinion if the hyperspace sequence lasted longer according to distance you had to travel and also to be a timer displaying exiting hyperspace 4,3,2,1 exiting hyperspace

For me personally, I'd love it. It would give me a true sense of real distance. I've never been a fan of near-instantaneous travel across the stars.
However, as a compromise for this, I think SC would need to allow for a much faster travel. If I wanted to go quickly to a planet, I could select that planet and engage a "hyper-cruise" mechanic that would throw me through the system and bring me out in orbit around the planet/station in a few seconds.

I think I read somewhere that the hyperspace window is a bit dependent on network factors and instance generation. It might be difficult to have a realistic timer in these cases.

Personally I'm fine with a hyperspace sequence that varies based on jump distance but there are plenty of players that are already bored with hyperspace and SC times so they wouldn't be happy with additional delays.

I wouldn't mind if there were 2 SC modes, an express mode when you have a set destination and another mode for cruising, exploring or looking for signal sources.
