An Idea for Utility Slot: Combat Sensor View

The Reddit post this came from will be posted as soon as I can post links. Can't do so yet because new account.

Here's something I thought of that I think would be wonderful for dedicated combat pilots as something in the Utility hardpoint of a ship, tied to your ship's sensors but with reduced range.

Called perhaps Combat Sensory System or something, it could be something that you assign to a toggle.
When toggled, the CSS would project across your canopy, darkening the view but highlighting other ships in the same kind of wireframe glow you see when logging in. This would let you identify very rapidly what ships are what at a glance even if the background is camouflaging the view.

The Upsides: -Would allow rapid target-selection with highlighting of Friendly, Neutral, and Hostile ships in colors. -Rapid identification of vessel types even at range and with obstructions, without switching to contacts. For pilotting at high speed in an asteroid field, this is the difference between life and death.

The Downsides: -Takes up a Utility Slot which could be used for other things, some much better at defending you or helping you earn money. -The Contacts screen can be used to identify and target anyways, though can be a bit tedious in combat. -If your canopy is compromised and damaged or even shattered, the viewscreen projected would be glitched out, be missing sections, or even not functional at all.

Another possibility is the use of this for Exploration, marking planets and showing extra information in a pleasing way when toggled, not so much to be useful but to give it use outside of combat when in Frame Shift.
