An observation regarding Lemur breeding

Compared to their red cousins, the Ring tailed lemurs are much harder to breed, both because their fertile lifespan is shorted and they have less babys than the Red ruffed lemurs.
Another thing that I observed while trying to breed these little ones are that the males don't seem as interested in breeding. On avarage, it took the males 8-12 months to try and breed with a female (the males I did this test with had a fertility of 50-83%)

So my tip for breeding these is that it is better to only have a maximum of 5 females per male, as he wont have the time to breed with more than that (when the last female is pregnant, the first one's baby will be an adult and she will be ready to breed again)
