Hey fellow noobs,

I see that Meta-alloys are set to dwindle, and I happen to have just a couple of them in my hold from the other day. I'd like to give one to a couple of new players trying to get Felicity Farseer unlocked so they can join the world of long-range exploration.

Last night my friend who I FINALLY talked into joining Elite went and scored M-A and was PVP'd right outside the engineer on his way to turn it in. Gah! Anyway, let me know if you'd like to get one.

No, in all seriousness though - at least for now it's probably a better bet to tell newbies where to find still-productive sites (both Thargoid bases and the always-ripe barnacles) that teach them to accept candy from strangers. If those sources also dry up, then more intensive charity measures might become worthwhile.

lol, fair enough. Question though: If you wing up with someone, there's a "quitting wing" countdown. Wouldn't that give you a headsup you were about to get ganked?
I guess you could have a friend lying in wait, but seriously killing noobs on their way to an engineer is pathetic enough, posting on the forums to lure a noob in their 1Mcr ship just so you can grief them? That's.. I don't have words for what that would be.
