With the changes to the initial Fleet Carriers ideas in Beta it seems that, vast amounts of mining aside, my hopes for a personal exploration mini-fleet is actually viable. With that in mind and some ten billion in the bank on my explorer account I’ve built a small fleet that includes my original AspX, a stripped down Anaconda with 80ly jump range, a toughened Cobra MkIII with two SRVs for high G planets, canyon running Eagle, speedy Sidewinder for general fun and scanning, a Python and Keelback deep core mining ships and, of course, a Tritium miner - mine being a weighty old T9.
The plan is to head off, not necessarily come back (at least not for a long time) and mix actual exploration with some good old fashioned sight seeing. I’d include following the lore within that but much of that is Bubble based and I’ve been to the Zuraha(sp?) on other accounts though I’m happy to include that on my itinerary.
What I hope you may provide is some insight into what gems are worth including on my journey. I need to have some form of route plotted and would like to hit as much as possible, this is where the FC as a mobile base really seems to add some exploration game play for me.
I’ve been to BP three times, Colonia back and forth, Heart & Soul, Bernards Loop etc etc but I know there are some little gems, beautiful sights and curious oddities out there and those are the things I’m hoping you may be able to suggest. I went on the DW2 trip and loved it, this is what I’m looking to recreate but on a much longer term basis.
