Hello, my name is Shaun and I run a very small channel on YouTube called Shaun Does Stuff, where I do stuff that is Planet Coaster 99 percent of the time. I've been doing it since the alpha and have enjoyed it for the most part. Not too long after I started I was able to get partner verified, which was exciting. I never had any intention of monetizing my videos, but I did want the ability to add custom thumbnails, have my own URL, view analytics, etc.., All of which I've been able to enjoy until YouTube made their announcement yesterday stating they would be revising the Partner qualifications, which will end up disqualifying me and numerous other small channels on YouTube.
This is where the community and other creators come in. If we all band together we might be able to at least make a dent in the sub/watch time wall. 4,000 subs is daunting and 5,000 hours seems a bit much to hit in less than a month (we have 30 days grace period until the changes kick in).
So, if you see another Planet Coaster channel, hit subscribe and give them that boost.
Going to work or school for the day? Open up a playlist, mute the tab and let it play while you're not there.
Together we can all help each other out, and that's what a community is for.
