An unmodified duplicate Corvette is in my Shipyard. I only had 1 Corvette until tonight.

I haven't played in months until around the first week of this month. Since then I've been binging on Elite. I bought a Corvette ages ago and docked it in the nearest place to eventually get G5 dirty Drives from Palin in Maia (yes, its been that long since I've played that I didn't remember Palin moved quite close to Jameson).

Anyway I have an Anaconda that I use as a taxi to ship large modules back and forth between engineers. Tonight I was modding a power plant for more power, so when I came back to Jameson Memorial and unloaded the PP from my Anaconda to the Vette I noticed all the core internals on my Vette were stock. Horrified I checked my weapons load out and all weapons were stock. The ship was a totally unmodified version of the Vette I was literally flying a few hours ago. Same modules but zero modifications. Ship didn't even have my ship name or ID.

Before freaking the hell out I checked the Shipyard and I saw two Corvettes. 1 is the new stock clone of the modded ship I have and the other is the original. I did not buy another Vette, no reason to. My other ships seem untouched, but I have 2 Vettes now. I had around 2.1billion CR before buying a bunch A rated stuff, along with also upgrading my Anaconda tonight. I have just under 1.9bil so the math doesn't check out. I should be 500+ million CR poorer if I bought another Corvette, but I didn't and I sure didn't purchase identical modules as my modded Vette.

This has never happened before so what's going on? I can't find any thing close to an explanation with google searches so Im scratching my head over this one. Is there some sort of game log I can check out and see what game events took place?

I would suggest you ceeate an account with EDSM.net, and upload your journal files there. Then you will have full history of your purchases and credits and will be able to see if you accidentally bought one (I did that once instead of switching, was raising a support ticket when it dawned on me )

Actually, off the shelf a Corvette is somewhere around 180,000,000 credits, so that would explain the 2,1billion - 1,9billion gap, are you sure that you did not accidentally buy one?

Ah totally forgot about that. Already have an account when I used that EDSM app (EDDS or something). Will reinstall all that and see what's up.

Sure, but with A rated core internals easily puts it near 500 mil, and Im sure I didn't buy another corvette along with the process of duplicating every exact module I had on my modded Vette. Anyway I'll be back on my PC in a few hours and will update this post, but if FDev gave me a free Vette I'll take it!

edit: App was EDDiscovery

If you don't wannit, I'll have it...

Well I poured over the logs and I can't make sense of what happened. I don't know how you can accidentally just buy a Corvette and then duplicate the hard points and modules as your other ship you've spent weeks modding. As long as my other ships remain unaffected I'll just walk away very confused but ok.

Contact support and ask them to look at/correct the anomaly.

Wouldn't want to forget about it, start using it, then have FDev do something like delete the ship during a fix, or be using a different ship and have them delete the wrong one.

Contact support.
Tell them it was totally pimped out, but now everything's stock.
And your engineering mats were maxed out.;)
