Hi Folks,

My x-55 joystick has gone the way of the dodo and I was wondering if it was possible to still use the X55 Throttle but with a different joystick? (I.e. A cyborg or other stick without a throttle)

Whats wrong with the stick?
They can be fixed if you are able to try
You shoukd be able to use the throttle separately as it plugs into its own usb, but you would have to rebind you new stick?

X55 joystick and throttle are two different devices. This means that they can be used separately. X-55 should still be covered by warranty and in case you have to send them back then you will have to send back both the throttle and the joystick.

Disassembling the devices to repair them voids the warranty.

Thanks, but I've bought it second hand so there is no warranty. I've been quoted £70 for a repair, so I figured it might be better to just get a new joystick.

Hi what is wrong with the stick? I have one where the buttons were not working, traced the problem to a broken wire in the handle of the stick where it fastens to the base, I used a multimeter, to find the problem, and soldered the broken wire and it works fine. If your stick is the same its worth a try! Nothing to loose if you are going to buy a new stick.
