Anaconda + Build for under 160mil.

Do you have around 160mil but feel that’s not enough to buy and outfit an Anaconda?

Follow these steps and you will have a working, earning Anaconda without spending more than 160mil.

First things first you will need a Anaconda. Go to Herbert Dock, in the Songballa system. 3 reasons why I chose this station are.
1. It sells an Anaconda
2. It’s got 15% discount off the asking price.
3. Every upgrade is available here. So no need to travel to various stations.

Finally fit your Anaconda with the following modules. Shown on the link below.
https://eddp.co/u/X1adYu5M

The end results will leave you with a ship that can.
A. Travel up to 33ly pet jump. Which is great for exploring.
B. Run passenger missions which is one of the best ways of building credits.
C. Run planatery mission, such as Scan or power grid missions, which is another good credit earner.
D. Haul goods for a little bit of extra cash.
E. Leave you enough credits for the ships insurance of 7.5mil :)
F. Rescue stranded CMDR’s that have ran out of fuel. ;) (Optional)

Please note this is just a budget solution for those that really want to get their hands on this great ship!
And start earning credits so they can upgrade over time.
Hope this is helpful. o7.

Buy the basic ship at jameson memorial, get a 20% discount, rebuild the interior for only exploring and leave the cores alone. Then do the RTR. Receive 300+ millions when fisnished and a bump up to elite as an explorer. Use some or all of the 300 mill to finished the build of your dreams.

Jameson discount is now 20% ?????????

Used to be 10%

Or you could just earn the money progressively and jump into a 'conda that's outfitted properly and flown by a CMDR that can manoeuvre it with more efficiency than a beached whale.

Good shout out there with the 20% discount, but you really advising people to use the get rich exploit? Ok that’s an option for people that want to go down that route.
But I’m aiming at people that work for there creds not handed to them.

Ok it’s not the most nimble ship, but the build is not designed for combat, more for going from point A To B then back again.

I mean that it's far better to earn the money for a well-fitted 'conda and learn to fly in the process.

Players have an increasing knack for jumping into the big 3 as early as they can, relying on the ship to do the work for them, getting punished because they can't fly it properly when it matters, and then throwing a tantrum.

Hurrying into big ships is a surefire way to kill your experience.

Expliot is in the eye of the beholder, using a web site to assit in one build, find commodities, just to name a couple can also be considered an exploit, but yet thousands still use them. Doing repeatable missions from a to b and back again for untold millions is an exploit and yet thousands still use the ability to do so if and when it's available. Did you accomplish the very first mission in which all you had to do was arrive at a destination to receive a 10,000 cr's. Guess what, that's was an exploit! The term "Exploit" is thrown around quite loosely just as the term "Grinding" is. Both are subject to the terms and feelings of the user. What you determine as a grind or an exploit is yours, what I determine to be a grind or exploit is mine. The two differences don't have to match, and thus both are moot points.

Well I did include the docking computer in the setup ;) I personally don’t have it. But I know there are players that struggle to dock this ship.
Plus I believe it’s a great way for someone to practise with only a 7.6 mil rebuy it won’t hurt as much as a fully fitted setup.

I think I have already had this debate with you about the Road to riches, so I’m not going down that road again.

What’s the rebuy on your Anaconda at this moment in time?

My conda is set up for mining thus it's not too much. My vette's rebuy is 60+ million.

Which is kind of the point I’m making with this build, if someone messes up because they are not use to flying such a big ship it’s not going to break the bank balance when they have to rebuy the ship.

I just cannot get over how much miltary grade bulkheads are.. insane amount.

Indeed, some of the individual upgrades on the dearer ships are shocking, often nearly as dear or dearer than the original ship itself...

I recently bought a discounted Python for 48 million when i'd only 60 million in total cash and i've been slowly doing it up.

Its' top powerplant, a 7A, costs 43 million, and i think even that is a discounted price.

Thankfully though the ship doesn't need that much power.

I've had just enough with a 6B powerplay, though i do plan to buy a 6A one soon for the added jump range and i MIGHT need the 6A for when i switch out the 5A shield soon for a 6A, (though unlike other upgrades, i'm not going to completely replace the 5A shield with the 6A, using the 5A for trade CGs and when there are many well paying haulage missions around for extra cargo space and only using the 6A for combat missions - i wish shields were core modules and not optional modules and ships still had their current number of, or more modules... :) ).

(Even the ships' nearly half a million each, 5D hull reinforcement modules costs are noticeable when again they're only something i'll be swapping in instead of cargo racks for combat missions and i didn't even check price of the class six modules, they probably cost about one million alone each as well _ .)

While i haven't actually been able to find the ships' military bulkheads anywhere, but they could easily cost 40-50+ million.

Lastly, it's really annoying how much the insurance costs are on bigger ships and how we've to sit on the money - the rebuy on my Python is already over four million and i've as indicated only about three quarters of its' full cost upgrades installed.

(We should be able to lock our ships' rebuy cost in the bank so it's not included in our "you can afford this" money... i recent bought an upgrade which i didn't want to resell, which left me with only one million in cash, meaning i'd to do several missions without the other required three million of a potential rebuy.

Thankfully i can always avoid attempted interdictions whenever i want, but it meant that combat wasn't even an option in the ship for an hour or two... :) .

I've died twice in the ship since i got it, both times to something really annoying which i gave out about in my Persistent Pirates thread.

In its' current build, i can easily kill other Pythons, Fer der Lances and Federal Gunships etc in my Python, but its' no match for an Anaconda, which the game keeps sending after me for even only medium difficulty missions, but even a single Anaconda on its' own wouldn't be that bad and i can run from such a ship, but both times i died was when i was already well into engaging a single Python, then a Fer de Lance in combat and an Anaconda jumped into the middle of each fight, shot my powerplant and i was dead :( .

Then leave it in the garage under a tarp because the rebuy will kill your wallet when, not if, you break it! Trust me - been there done it got the t shirt.

The rebuy is only 7.477 mil which is nothing. As I have said before the is a good start to get use to this big ship. Waiting to put 400-500 mil into it, and then decide to take it out for the first time and mess up is going to be so much more painful.

I run many of my ships in the D configuration and the Anaconda is no exception. If you plan to take it anywhere near combat then for sure...A rate as much as possible...but if you’re a trader or running passengers or an explorer or a salvager a D rated ‘conda is a great tool...

Just add in an extra few million for 8 shield boosters to protect your investment, a 7d shield generator along with 8 boosters provides 1274mj shields. Just leave the guns at home so you don’t get tempted.

The only career that would make me a little more cautious is mining due to the risk of getting mass locked in rings while taking fire, and even that’s 100% avoidable if you remember to wait for the pirates to clear out when you arrive.

Of course, I’m just talking PVE here, I probably wouldn’t want to take a D rated Annie into Open play.

I’ve managed to get my Conda up to almost 60Ly [UL] jump range. I use it mainly for Fuel Ratting.
