anaconda, cutter or corvette?

been happily playing in my chieftain lately and racked up plenty of credits to go for one of the big three but which one? I have the Fed and empire ranks so all three is an option. which is the most fun?

If you can only afford one. Anaconda. It's by far the more versatile of the three and can turn it's hand at anything you want to do.

Conda, overall flexibility. Cutter, ramming speed all ahead and vette just all round big meany.
personally love the conda for its kitchen sink fit for exploration but SC handling is not great but there you go.

Sidewinder, u only do 1mission an hour that 1k thats how it goes in my game so your game should be the same. Enjoy

Versatility with a lean towards exploring... Conda

Versatility with a lean towards never having to really worry about being blown up... Cutter

Like doing combat and don't mind jumping a lot... Vette

It's what you prefer. I honestly like the Cutter most and when Engineered, the drawbacks are very small.

The Conda is the most "valuable" of the three due to cost vs output.

I find the Vette the least attractive due to a preference of using more agile ships for combat focused activities. (and the other two are by no means slouches in this area).

I really enjoy my Anaconda, suitable for nearly every job with the right outfit. Exploration(>65ly range), trading, fighting, mining... I like not having to change my ship for different purposes. Ship loadouts would be a great feature, as it can take a while to equip your ship. But that's a different discussion.

Conda is my home, now. It does not excell at anything but can do it all, and pretty well. I thought of it as an endgame ship while looking toward getting my hands on it, but now that I have mine, the game actually got refreshed a whole bunch. It's such a lovely ship.

Don’t forget about the Type-10. Think of it as the Lakon Chieftain’s bigger brother. There is no longer a big-3, both the Type-10 and Type-9 are also viable endgame ships depending on what you want to do with them.

Gotta be the cutter fer me, but Im not basing that on practical reasons, more like personal issues with the design layout of the other two. I cannot come to terms with the conda based on two things...first of all, the cockpit position. On the cutter, it feels like a cockpit while on the conda, it feels like the bridge of the enterprise. I much prefer the cockpit style personally.

But the killer fer me was that I prefer my cockpit at the front while the conda bridge is literally sitting on the engines...makes it look like a pregnant star destroyer. Its the most versatile multi ship of the 3 although I aint tried a vette yet...haha vette yet see what I did there? It looks even more like a mutated star destroyer only this one knew how to use birth control.

Cutter wins fer me...but Im odd and find the shape sorta erotic...

For an unbeatable weapons platform or a hardened short-jump bulk trader, the Corvette.

For an ostentatious bulk trader or miner that can stand its ground or run away, the Cutter.

For everything else, the Anaconda.

Other niches may offer specific opportunities for any of these ships if suitably customised, but it's hard to beat the Anaconda as an all-rounder. It's very versatile, and capable of the best jump range of any ship if you need it. Obviously it doesn't need a superpower naval rank either.

Don’t forget about the Type-10.

For the sake of being mean, lemme try and ruin this for you.

I bought a corvette only to find out there was no upgrade for its fsd available at that station and the stock version fitted didn’t have enough range to get out of the system, so I sold the piece of junk and went back to my cutter and never looked back.

Same thing I look for something double weaponsize4. Cutter gets in ma ways even tho I have imperial nonsense and lets dance that 8size prismatics all kinetic power resist because thats all u know and u log off cofmander happy face :)

Conda first, Corvette second. And if you have a billion or two lying around to purchase, upgrade and then pay the outrageous integrity upkeep costs.... Cutter third.

I own all three.

Never owned a Cutter but have the other two... I really like the Corvette and it's currently my most used ship but to be honest, when I am lying awake at night struggling to sleep I am thinking of the Anaconda. It might be sentimental reasons or because it's my only ship with a ship kit and paid paint job and it has the coolest name of all my ships but... I just love it more than the Corvette. Even though my Vette outperforms my Annie in almost every regard.

They're both quite different I suppose. I feel invulnerable in the Vette (I appreciate that in PvP there are many who would show me the folly of thinking that). It's the baddest, meanest ship on the block. The Annie however is nearly as mean but can skip about the bubble with it's waaaay better jump range making it much more preferable as a 'every day' ship.
