Anaconda, Doe it get any better

When you compare the Anaconda's hull mass of 400 tons to a Federal Dropship (580 tons) or Python (350 tons) something is wrong.

Even more wrong is the 400 ton Anaconda has more base hull armor (945 points) than a 900 ton Federal Corvette (666 points)

I get that FD wanted the Anaconda to have long legs, but they really should have gone with a class 7 or 8 FSD vs. magic space twinkie hull plating.

Exactly. FD wanted the Conda to be a powerful multi purpose ship and did it by ignoring the continuity of ships in this game. Ruins balance

It does get better than the 'Conda - though it is a great ship. Easily the most versatile of the 'big ships'. I've set mine up for murdering NPCs in RES and CZs.

For pure firepower and shield-strength though, you can't beat a Fed. Corvette. It is designed for combat, and does it very well, particularly after letting engineers upgrade it.

And if hauling cargo is your thing, the Imp. Cutter can carry 720 tons, and still have a vicious bite.

The Conda is a beast but the Vette is even beastlier once you get used to her.

I outfitted my Annie as a smuggler so I could farm for a Corvette. I kept getting interdicted so I stuck loads of guns on it and did a pass on it with some engineer mods. Not gonna lie, I don't give a monkies about that Corvette anymore, this thing's a beast!

Anaconda is good. I have mine for trading setup with 45ly range. But my Corvette though, ho ho ho that's one mean warship if I do say so myself. She melts Elite Anaconda within a minute, melts Cobra, Viper, Eagle in one pass, can go toe to toe with FDL and FAS as well.

For murdering, I prefer my Python (G5 DD) to my 'conda, because fixed.

If you want a better killer than the 'conda, go Corvette.

I don't have rank for a Corvette yet, but between the Python or Anaconda for killing purposes, I will take the Python every time.

The Python is half Anaconda, half FDL.

The Conda setup is easy, clear all modules, and reduce shields and everything to the one with less mass, only keep upgraded the FSD, I don't know why people use a Conda with this characteristics to explore, if you can do it with a faster ship!
