It just makes me wonder... I don't have Anaconda but I may get one in the future. I'm around 12k LY away from the bubble and I won't be coming back for a long, long time still.

I have my own code so no problem there.
And yes you DO need to be home.

To redeem your code:

• Load up the game
• Make sure your ship is docked at station services
• Open up Livery
• Click on ‘Buy Game Extras’
• Click on ‘Redeem Frontier Code’
• Input code and submit

Above is the quote from the email how to redeem it.
I tried to do it on the shop page but it won't let me hence my question will the code be still valid?

If not, you can always ping support with your code, and they might add it.

That's what they did for me when my code never arrived.
