It was. There was a slippery interpretation of the Wireframe Cobra 'limited' status and it kicked a massive stink. I don't think they'll try that again.

"limited" is up for massive interpretation. if it was "limited" then it could be "limited" to say, Once a year, for a week. 20 bucks for a paint is a very good revenue source.

Check the FDev store on Fridays when they usually release new stuff, when they release new stuff. Sometimes "limited" skins are only available for a few days, an extremely limited skin might only be offered for a single day.

Even that is way more restrictive than how it's usually used in marketing, which is something along the lines of "limited to the number we can sell". It's safe to say that nobody should ever expect to be buying exclusivity unless it's very, very clearly defined.
