As long as I am going after a specific subsystem on the anaconda, my weapons deal some great damage to it and the hull at the same time. Once the subsystem is down, say thrusters, continuing to fire at them does VERY LITTLE damage to hull!! This clearly should not be the case, even if I am shooting elsewhere on the vessel.
My tactic for the annies? Shoot the drives to slow it down, then go after power plant. 4X class 1 fixed beams, 2x class 2 fixed multicannons (experimented with rail gun and other stuff, but their effect was worthless).
On a side note - missiles need a serious buff. They have a defense, they cost money, and traditionally, missiles and torpedoes are intended for large targets. Right now, they are no threat whatsoever. If you look at "armor penetration" in the specs, it suggests they are for shields.
