Ship Builds & Load Outs [Anaconda] - My First Ana™ - Returning Pilot, no Engineers

Hello fellow Commanders,

I'm coming to you for some advice. I recently returned from a longer break and decided to further pursue my last goal: obtaining my first Anaconda.
The ship will be used for mission running, engineer leveling and bounty hunting. Pure PvE boat.

Due to my absence, I have no access to Engineers (and no clue how they work, what I need to do, where to go to etc), so I don't have acccess to any of that fancy stuff and will have to do it "old school".
I have no experience with the Anaconda myself, so I'm sitting here with Coriolis trying to figure out of this setup would work for what I want to do with it:

It'll take me another day or two in my Type9 to shore up the cash (as I insist on proper modules), but this is more or less the build that I fancy right now. I love gimbaled pulses, they work best for me, especially when paired with multis. I'm not good enough for fixed beams or cannons, I figured that out in my vulture.

Any improvement ideas or even alternative suggestions welcome, but please be aware that I don't have access to Engineers and intend to work my way through that grind with this Anaconda, so I need a starting point from where I can upgrade her to the standards you all are used to.

Thank you, fly safe!

I'm currently flying a heavily engineered Conda as it's a great ship for combined cargo/passenger missions, if you check the profiles tab in Coriolis there's a display showing agility and speed and if you swap between 7D and 7A thrusters there's not a significant improvement (probably down the Condas low mass hull) so I'd suggest going with 7D as it'll save a lot of energy and cost.

With a 7C bi weave you don't want too many boosters as it'll add to regen time so until you've unlocked some engineers I'd fit a 7D standard shield and more PD turrets (topside only for a great flak barrage!), weapons; possibly more gimbals than turrets for additional DPS but that's not essential.

Farseer is the first engineer you want to unlock as an increased range FSD will help a lot with the others, additionally Farseer can engineer power plants either a grade 1 overcharged multi rolled for additional power and efficiency or a low emissions mod with better efficiency and a little more power (the one in my build took about 50 spins using iron (easy to collect))

Here's some websites that'll help with engineers

Conda lite ;), this is a great multirole ship with good offensive/defencive capability and can be easily swapped between cargo/passenger mix to full cargo

As to your build with a decent shield and hull you should be fine outside of CZ and comp nav beacons, my engineered build is a bit faster and more agile but not by a vast amount, the DPS is higher but in the same ballpark, I'd suggest trying it at a nav beacon to assess the offensive/defensive capability

Although the shields on mine appear to be worse the engineering mods add a lot of resistance against energy weapons (i.e. they take less damage from lasers) so wings of small fighters should be avoided as they'll do a fair bit of damage against stock shields other than that it looks like a solid build.
