Ships Anaconda questions.

So i was reading that the Anaconda can have a small docking bay. (Hint from the shipyard, " The Anaconda can also be upgraded with a docking bay allowing small fighters up to Sidewinder-size to be carried and launched."

Is that in game at the moment, And if so, is it controlled by you? Or another player.

Not implemented yet.

The XBone trailer showed a F63 Condor launching from a 'conda so it's still on Frontier's To Do List at least.

The Imperial Cutter and Fed Corvette are likely to have this feature too. The background books mention the Cutter carrying Imperial Fighters, for example.

I can see that this would be good but you can't fly two ships at once which means that when you launch the fighter what happens then? If the fighter is flown by someone else then what do they do whilst you are hooning around flying the Anaconda normally? Can you hire an NPC pilot? A ship and launch capability are going to take up most of the space in an Anaconda so it doesn't leave much for anything else. If you transfer to the fighter what happens to your Anaconda and if you are destroyed in the fighter do you return to the Anaconda?

All this will probably only come together when they enable multi-crewed ships, allowing a friend to sit in your ship and control a turret or power usage or repairs and other magical things. :)

Possibly it may have to wait until Devs enable you to walk around ships but I don't see why they can't put a "launch ship" button in as a placeholder until then. Its all on the development plan...

since anythign stripepd down or light enough to probably fit in the hold wont have to much of a lifespan, i hope the' recovered at last docked station' can get replaced with a multiple choice option, so i could recover my freind pod with the cargo scoop are something and just have a T9 with about half a dozen condors (COMBAT T9!!!!!!) maybe a cargo drone or 2 to recover the pod for me (power play update) since its not the easiest thing for a T9 let alone in a combat zone.
