FD have made it clear that ship kits don't have collision so shouldn't affect firing weapons/interaction with station or other ships, flight model etc.. Whether this is the case or not I don't know.
That makes sense, from a game perspective at least, otherwise no-one would want to add them if it made your target profile bigger.
on a side note, not a huge fan of the anaconda ship kit. at least not with my squadron paint packs. Anaconda paintjobs often have patterns in them, less monotone, so to add all these pieces to it that are only 1 color...they feel disjointed. I may try again if a 1-color paintjob goes on sale, but currently it's distracting. :-O
this is my Conda with the new body kit kind of mixed and matched it as I couldn't find any one set that I liked. And i bought the Banana Conda paint job because the body kit parts don't look well with the grey camouflage paint I most usually use. I have to admit I like the pattern of the banana Conda paint job just wish there was other colors to choose from. All in all it looks nice not sure about the part on the front though. Oh and I know the picture shows a bit un detailed but I'm playing on a Xbox one that has played this game for extended periods of time for over a year and some months now.
I just want it to colour match a bit better. I'd prefer a smoother nose piece too but that's no biggy 
Really not happy with Anaconda's kits. Was looking forward to getting it, but changed my mind. Python got a fantastic kit, but unfortunately I don't fly it.
