but I can't help but imagine the large "box" of the annaconda is "detachable". there are no other visual clues that it is, it's just....very boxy, and looks independent from the rest of the ship.

You know a bit like Thunderbirds2

Y'see, I think that#s what makes the Annie look "realistic".

It looks like an old tramp-steamer which DeLacey have tried to tart-up by making the top look all sleek and swooshy... which is the sort of thing that real companies do to encourage sales.

Finally - a reason to by the Keelback!!! Although, tbh, the T6 in green with the same ship-kit element added also looks very TB2-like.

Honestly, I'd love it if FDev and the Anderson Estate could wrap up a licensing deal, perhaps with TB4 as an SRV for water/dense gas worlds.... pretty please.....
