Anaconda vs The Envelope

Who designed this ship to fit through the envelope, lol? If you try to fly straight in you're pretty much just going to hit either your top or your bottom on they way in/out.

You have to point the nose up and thrust down a bit as you pass through. Adds a bit of fun to getting it in without hitting stuff, but geez. You would think it would fit easily enough.

I managed to get my Type 9 in and out at full speed no problem. Gotta come in half speed unless you don't mind crashing into things :p

Rich people problems, I know, right?

Anyone take the Anaconda in/out at full speed and manage to not hit anything? Video, tips? :D

There is a video on YouTube somewhere from the betas of a commander flying an anaconda in at full speed, flight assist off, backwards.

Perhaps more practice?

Don't extend your landing gear before you approach, or you're going to have trouble not scraping on the top or bottom. If you have your huge hardpoint deployed, you won't even fit. Just keep the top of your cockpit flush with the ceiling and that's it.

Ah, that may be why. I always extend my gear on approach to slow myself a bit and prevent from boosting as I've done that before :x

The Annie's shields are a beast. Even with just A5 shields, I survived a full boost (was trying to turn on lights) into a wall with 10% hull damage. Braked in time though, thank god XD (So don't worry too much about boost)

I'm actually using A4 shields at the moment. I'm using it as a Trade ship for now while I upgrade its parts :p
