Anaconda weapons advice needed please

Hi,

Got my Anaconda recently. Just wanted opinions on my weapon set up. I have kitted out the 'conda for trading mainly:

8C Power Plant
8C Distributor

Huge Plasma Acc.
Large C3 Fixed Canon (nose hardpoint)

2 x C3 Gimballed Beam Lasers ('deck' hardpoints)

2 x F2 Gimballed Multi-Canons

2 x small turret beam lasers (rear hardpoints)

Also, does anyone know - with an 8B or even 8A power plant and distributor, is it possible to run a C3 gimballed beam in the nose too? i.e. 3 C3 gimballed beams? It is too much thermal load currently.

I use 3 fixed C3 beams with the 8A distributor just fine. You hit critical heat with 4 pips in wep about the same time the capacitor gets down to 10-15%, so it's time to let off the fire button anyway.

That's great - thanks for the info! As I recall the fixed C3s draw less power but have a higher thermal load, so that means once I can afford the 'A' power plant I should be fine. Thanks again

The main problem with C3 turrets currently is that they lose precision over time, hence are becoming useless after few hits. You have to either re-target, or turn your ship away so they don't see the target for a while and then back. Otherwise, I guess you won't have heat problems, unless you want to spam Plasma Accelerator all the time.

Your setup looks good. If you have Annie, you've probably gathered enough experience on the road to know what's what, no?

Thanks - I'm not looking at turrets, just C3 gimballed beams. Not sure there is a C3 turret beam laser?

Yeah it's possible I ran 3 beams in mine for a while. I'm currently experimenting in prep for 1.2
my loadout was as follows
1 C4 PA
3 C3 gimbaled beams
2 C2 turreted multis
2 C1 turreted pulse

upgrade that power distributor asap if you want beams the c class pp is sufficient as said above its time to let off the trigger anyway. You're mostly overheating because of those extra beams on the 1 slots.

Thanks Troa - I might swap the small turrets for multis then. Would love to run 3 x C3 gimbals.

Try the pulses first

the spin up time on the multis almost makes the seldom lined up class 1's useless. The pulse's don't waste much energy or heat and usually hit their target immediately.
