Anacondas sold out at Freeport?

After a few days testing out different ships with different hard points, I decided to repurchase my darling Shaquonda the Anaconda today. To my surprise, the Anaconda was no longer available.

Have we put too much strain on the production facilities at Freeport, and they need time to restock? Or have they just been removed from purchase altogether?

I don't recall this happening before although I could be mistaken. I did reload the client a few times to see if it was randomized to no avail.

That would be my first assumption as well but I've always seen posts on these forums directing CMDRs to Freeport for the Anaconda. Freeport is where I purchased my first one, and I've never seen it available anywhere else for that matter. Hopefully I'm mistaken and I can find another one somewhere else, but I'm not feeling too optimistic about the chances.

Maybe Anacondas were found to cause baldness, flatulence and unsporting play styles, so have been universally banned by the powers that be?

I hope this is the result of some sort of glitch & not a conscious decision on FD's behalf to remove them. As well as myself, I'd imagine there is quite a few cmdr's out there who've managed to scrape enough creds together so they can try this ship out before the next big wipe on the 29th.

I'm sure FD want a level playing field, not just having only those who make the credits fastest will be rewarded, as in testing ships other don't get the chance to.

They are still the rarest of ships in circulation, I might only see a couple PC controlled one's after 3 hours of play, so I can't see popularity/overcrowding of Anacondas being a reason for cutting them.

I can understand cutting progenitor cells, due to having a runaway market, but one of the main incentives to playing this game is to make credits, make credits to buy equipment & ships. I can understand that in the final game, like trade items, there will be a finite amount of equipment & ships, but surely not in this beta as it stands, with it’s mere 8 star systems.

How can testing be encouraged if ships are pulled from the game? Surely such actions would disincentive making credits & thus testing this potentially great game to the full, which is the purpose of this beta in the first place.

Please Frontier Developments reinstate the Anaconda, give beta & alpha’s like myself the chance to test this out ship like others have already had, let it not be a ship for just the quick earners, let's have a level playing field.

Maybe they've been pulled temporarily because they were crashing the client so frequently. I've seen one other thread just today saying so, and I ditched mine recently for the constant crashing.

It seems the Anarchists at Freeport were stockpiling their bootlegged Anacondas in preparation for their expansion into other systems in nearby space, they've accumulated enough stock again to resume sales to Commanders brave enough to visit their station...

Just in Freeport, 11:39 BST, and they have Anacondas again in the shipyard for 3,863,907 CR for anyone in the market for one.

was that a bug or a test? or is there really a limited number of each ship to buy in one station?

I knew those Anarchists were up to something! I'm glad to hear they've come to their senses once again. Now I just need to find the time to run the gauntlet to Freeport for my reunion with my beloved Shaquonda. Wonderful news Mark! Thank you for sharing it!
