Ancient key... broken?

So after watching tutorials and doing this like 5 times because the tutorials are out of date, I discovered I need a guardian key. After scanning the beacon and not grabbing the key, doing it again, and then discovering I have to pick up a key, I went and did that. Now this rubbish happens.

What am I missing?

It keeps turning into a guardian orb!!??

Edit: Hitting transfer cargo fixed the bug. It is clearly broken, but that at least gets you through it. FML. Relogging reset all the sentinels. This is like the 6th time I've done this .

Edit 2: You can't rearm the SRV in the ship. There's a special hell for the developer who made this. I made it halfway through #6 and found that out.

Are you actually hitting the Transfer button at the bottom right? It was very quick but it looked like you were going through the motions but not actually transferring the cargo.
