Ok so while I was thinking of possibilities when people were talking about it being a launch pad I realised that there are many metal wedges around the edges and in cluster. What may they be? Restraints. They open up and the ground lifts out. There a small clusters of these and I feel the whole place may be some sort of burial due to the fact that there area urns and totems kinda like Egypt type tradition and belief. Even so if that is not the case and it is a launch pad, those restraints may still be part of retracting extending launch pads etc . What does everyone else think,?

I think it is something entirely separate from the Barnacles and crashed ship, but yet they may be linked. The introduction of not 1 but 2 'Alien' factions maybe?

I think this is directly replying lost legend (not sure if it is) but it's cool haha it was a good joke. I see that's a shame, see if you can find some screens shots to get an idea, but I agree I feel it has little to do with thargoids at the moment and I agree it could be a second civilization, perhaps it may bebe an old base, suggested by my dad instead of a tomb/temple/burial. Also if you can try get other people to look at this and see what everyone things in the hope of getting that step closer! Thank you for your input cmdr
Ancient tomb makes sense as a theory with the artefacts being labelled urn or casket very much terminology used at a burial site. to have the site on a Barron world makes it harder for thieves , if you look at the valley of kings it was hidden in the desert away from the main point of civilisation for many centuries until we came along and robbed it. But the more I look at it the lay out reminds me more of a stone to Bronze Age site be that a barrow or a hill fort I'll post some pics to show what I mean when have a better signal on the phine
Yup looks a little like American Indian mounds. this is an example in Ohio. Serpent Mound.

I was in the area so went to take a look at the latest furore on Planet 1 b in SYNUEFE XR-H D11-102. What if......
What if what we can see now, is not what was there at one time?
What if all the solid objects we can now see are attached to something below the ground (I'm not talking foundations)
What if the overall shape we see ?buried under the sand is not all there is to see?
What if the very symmetrical shape is a machine or machinery? (CMDR's have speculated on this due to all the arrow straight lines and snaking ?conduits)
What if that 9/10th's buried machine is a ship...a very BIG ship!!!!![alien]
All the metal buttresses or ?flanges around the perimeter... the active data points...the columns that burst from (inside the ship) when triggered...could all be part of some alien mega ship
When we are all landing our puny ships on top of the extremely conveniently flat floor...too flat? We could all be sitting atop an alien craft buried for millennia on that dusty planetoid!
It could be we are all horsing around, poking a long dormant craft and stealing bits off it, and just if, on our scale it's BIG, but just if, it's small on "their" scale....we mightily screwed!!!!

So you can see some similar features in the burial mound and the hill fort with the structure so it a obvious inspiration for the devs, gut feeling it's a burial mound due to the caskets and urns but it could be a fort from a interstellar war long ago or just a shopping centre
From photos, videos, and chatter of this site. It could be dang near anything a tumb makes sence. But if its an ancient city, its way to open and spread out, its Buried under surface. If its a city, it's just the very tips of skyscrapers, and there is much more to see. If its a base, there is a way in that must be found. A tumb or durial ground seems more fitting. Its out in the vast emptiness of space and obviously lost to its creatures. No matter what it may be, or how lost it is. Its creatures surely know we are there.
Is this the only alien ruins in game? Are there more hidden or have any others been found in the galaxy?

There's a lot of places to hide something in this game. We could search all we want but we may never find what they've hidden.
