And now something completely different

As I'm not a native English speaking... someone, I was wonder what the 'weight' of this ambiguity might be:

Unmanned CMDR [insert name here] made me lift an eye brow. The dictionary said; unman: castrate, emasculate.
Is this a poor choice of words, or should I start taking medicine?

English, yes, the         child of Northern/Western Germanic and French.

Castrated, would be word you are looking for.

Unmanned = un-piloted.

Obviously in the OP's context it refers to the ship not being "manned" by the commander, however apropos the other sense:

You can be "unmanned" by becoming afraid, losing nerve, lacking courage, etc - you don't need to have your "equipment" actually removed.

(BTW Don't rely on Wikipedia it's too USA-oriented.)

Its CMDR Vandaahl's ship, but he isn't in it. Maybe he's in the fighter or SRV.

Interesting that it's an Anaconda and he's harmless rank.

I guess this just shows how the SRV fits into ship physiology. Just be careful of being shot in the SRV hangar, could get pretty painful pretty quickly.

From a politically correct perspective, it could be construed as sexist to describe something as unmanned, as you are defining the role as being the preserve of Men.

The none gender specific terminology would be un-piloted.

It's also sexist to address to me as anything else but "Your Highness", since I identify myself as "Your Highness" (by their own rules PC crowd has to respect that, look it up)

:D

Hmm, maybe. Society as a whole has a long way to go before that nomenclature is changed. Btw, and totally off topic, where'd you get your avatar pic from?
