.. and on a lighter note

My wife just rold me about one poor commander who had an experience that I think a lot of us are familiar with.

From facebook:

Thomas Menenhetet Knudsen‎Elite Dangerous - The First Great Expedition

I was in open play, hanging around Freeport. Got a message from a fellow CMDR. He told me I could make big credits and that he'd explain to me over voice comms. So after being hailed numerous times I finally answered.
"Hello?" I queried.
-no response-
"Someone there?"
-static-
Just then, out of nowhere, I heard the blaring, tell-tale sign that all was not what it seemed. From the voice comms came electronic drums, synthesizers and fake violin ensemble. I discovered just how ugly things were about to get. And then it happened...

"We're no strangers to love..."

-no! his voice in my head!-

"You know the rules and SO DO I!"

-my brain began to rattle as the heart beating in my chest turned as cold as a Thargoidian icepick.

"A REAL COMMITMENT'S WHAT I'M DREAMIN' OF!"

-my trembling hand reflexively reached for my blaster, gripping the pearl handle with focused intention.-

"I JUST WANNA TELL YOU HOW I'M FEELIN' WANNA MAKE YOU UNDERSTAND! NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP..."

-I positioned the barrel of the blaster to the side of my head, sweat dripping down my furrowed brow. The cool touch of the well-worn weapon did little to soothe the pain coursing through me, like a knife dipped in battery acid, dragging coarsely across the flesh on my neck.

"NEVER GONNA GIVE, NEVER GONNA GIVE!"

-I thought I'd escaped, that light years away from Sol system I would be safe from the torture I was once-again experiencing. I was wrong. With a solemn nod to the bleak expanse of space before me, I squeezed off a blastround into my head, hoping to silence forever this horrid manifestation of evil assaulting my ears. My grip slackened on the blaster and I went motionless in the cockpit...

..."NEVER GONNA MAKE YOU CRY, NEVER GONNA SAY GOODBYE..."

-DAMN- my blaster had been set to stun. I was now immobilized, concious but unable to move or speak or even cry. Tears welled up in my mind as I lay there, 'rapt in agony...

RICKROLLED in deep space, where no one could hear me scream...

Classic.

Anyone else had some funny experiences with other players ?
